Meeting Minutes

September 23, 2010

A meeting of the Hornell Area Industrial Development Corporation was held on Thursday, September 23, 2010, at 6:30 PM, at 40 Main Street, Hornell, NY.

PRESENT: Samuel Nasca, Chairperson
George Prete, Vice Chairperson
Shawn Hogan, Treasurer
Dave Parmley, Asst. Treasurer

ABSENT: Joseph Foreman, Secretary

ALSO: James Griffin, CEO, Executive Director
Wanda White, CFO, Admin. Asst.

Vice Chairperson George Prete called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM.

MINUTES

In absence of Secretary Foreman, Vice Chairperson Prete presented the minutes of the 7/28/10 meeting. A motion was made by Dave Parmley, seconded by Shawn Hogan, to accept the minutes of the 7/28/10 meeting. Carried All.

FINANCIAL REPORT

Treasurer Shawn Hogan presented the financial reports for the months of July & August, 2010. A motion was made by Shawn Hogan, seconded by Dave Parmley to accept the financial report as presented. Carried All.

AUDIT COMMITTEE

Audit Chairperson George Prete presented the Audit Report for August stating that the Audit Committee had met 8/25/10 and approved bills in the amount of $400.00 and on 9/23/10 and approved bills in the amount of $1,091.25. A motion was made by Shawn Hogan, seconded by Dave Parmley to approve the actions of the Audit Committee. Carried All.

GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE

OLD BUSINESS

None

NEW BUSINESS

The 2011 proposed budget was discussed. The budget needs to be passed three months prior to the end of our fiscal year which is December 31, 2010 and posted to PARIS. After discussion, a motion was passed by Dave Parmley, seconded by Shawn Hogan, to approve the 2011 budget as proposed. Carried All.

BLACK CAT EVENT- The Hornell Area Humane Society requested sponsorship of the 8th Annual Black Cat Event being held on October 23, 2010 at the Knights of Columbus. A motion was made by Dave Parmley, seconded by Shawn Hogan to sponsor the event in the amount of $500.00. Carried All.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 6:45 PM upon motion by Parmley, seconded by Hogan. Carried All.
