CEO’s REPORT
Bocobo Property - CEO Griffin informed the Board that the Agency would close on the Bocobo property within the next two weeks.
Rail Siding – CEO Griffin stated we had received an extension on the rail siding until 12/2010 to close the project. Griffin said he had talked to a certified engineer, Frank Anthony, to provide engineering at a cost of approximately $1200.00. Norfolk Southern will still install the switch.
18 N. Main Street– CEO Griffin stated he had a commercial cleaning company, ServPro, look at the upstairs of the old Marion Rohr Building and asked for a quote to professionally clean the building. Aaron Evingham will be hired to close the building up and do light work.
Lin Industries – CEO Griffin stated that Lin Industry’s lease would run out in November 2009. Utarah Prasad, owner of Lin’s, has contacted the Agency regarding repairs needed to the building. Griffin said that some of the repairs would be the tenant’s responsibility but the Agency did need to do some repair work on the building. He would get estimates and would extend their lease on a month to month basis until repairs are completed, then the rent would be renegotiated.
Gates Rockwell – CEO Griffin stated that Davis Ulmer, the sprinkler system company that services our properties, informed him that the sprinkler heads on the system at Gates Rockwell needed to be replaced. The cost would be $14000.00. Griffin said that the Agency could phase the cost by doing one floor the first year, then the second and third floors consecutively. He stated there were other repairs to be done at the building also and would get back to the Board with some estimates.
