The Hornell Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner 2017

        The Hornell Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner was held Tuesday, January 10th at he the Hornell Golf Club.  The gala event was a "who's who" of economic contributors to the Hornell area.  President of the Chamber, Jim Griffin, served as the master of ceremony, with a very optimistic look at major projects coming into the Canisteo Valley.  St. James Mercy Hospital and Alstom were wll represented as well as numerous local business members.

        The annual meeting of the Chamber was held with Chairman Dave Gray beginning the meeting with the recognition of new officers.  Tom Beers, President of Maple City Savings Bank, was handed the gavel by Gray as the new-elect chairman.  Dave was presented with a plaque in recognition of his two years as Chairman for the organization.

         After a dinner, catered by The Main Place, Michael Printup, President of Watkins Glen International was the guest speaker.  Michael shared his background of the good, bad and great times with The Glen, adding Watkins Glen is the finest race track in the United States. Printup urged business owners to work together to form partnerships across the area.  He stated that was key to a successful business.

        The evening concluded with a birthday cake for Jerome Wallut, Vice President for North America-Alstom, and Michael Printup presented everyone with Watkins Glen merchandise.
